In addition, the auction will offer guests the opportunity to bid for unique experiences and rare art. Among the most high-priced auction items include a painting by self-taught Cape Town based artist Andrew Cooper valued at R110,000 and the limited edition bronze leopard maquette, sculpted by renowned South-African artist, Dylan Lewis valued at R285,000.
Other auction items are:

– The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa & Bushman’s Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Wellness Retreat, valued at R25,000

Event information:
The first year’s funds were donated to the Predator Ecology & Coexistence Experiment (PEACE). The PEACE project is located in the Northern Cape and is in partnership with Woolworths and Conservation South Africa (CSA). Working alongside the farming community, its long-term goal is to explore ethical predator management in order to develop a supply chain of ‘wildlife friendly’ lamb for the consumer market.
This year funds raised will go towards sustaining The Cape Leopard Trust operations, primarily paying airtime for satellite tracking collars, fuel and financing the resumption of the Cederberg leopard research project.
Tickets are available for R1, 500 per person and further funds are generated through the auction on the day. All proceeds will be donated to the Cape Leopard Trust.
Headline sponsors for the luncheon are Leopard’s Leap, First National Bank, Fusion Global and Bridgestone.
