Detox baths have been used for centuries by people all over the world to help purify their body. And the best part is, you can do it right in the comfort of your own home. Today might be the best time to put your feet up and relax in a soothing purification bath that will help detoxify your body and soothe your soul.
Have you ever felt sick or experienced flu-like symptoms after you perform a full body detox, liver cleansing, or any other type of natural body cleansing…?
This is your body’s way of getting rid of all the poisons and chemicals it has stored up inside.
The best way to relieve these symptoms is to relax and soak a while in one of the therapeutic bath solutions that are mentioned below. These detoxification baths are often a welcome relief from some of the unpleasant symptoms you may be experiencing from a full body detox.
Here are four of the most therapeutic detoxification baths:
Before your bath – Before you take a purification bath you should always brush your skin. Your skin is one of the main organs of detoxification and skin brushing can be very beneficial. The easiest way to do this is to use a vegetable brush, loofah or a konjac sponge (available here).
You should start from the centre of your body, brushing away from your heart. Take about 5 minutes to do this.
1. Epsom Salt and Ginger bath: An Epsom salt and Ginger bath will help to open up all the pores in your skin.
This provides an easy avenue for toxic and pain relief. All you need are 2 tablespoons of Ginger, 1 cup of Epsom Salts and 1 cup of water, all mixed together thoroughly.
Add this mixture to your warm bath, and sit back and relax. Soaking for 15-20 minutes will eliminate a lot of the toxic build up you have inside your body.
2. Epsom Sea Oil bath: An Epsom Sea Oil bath will not only help soothe dry skin, but it is also a great stress reliever. Simply add 1 cup of Epsom salts, 1 cup of sea salt, and 1 cup of Sesame Oil to your warm bath. Relax in this purification bath for approximately 20 minutes.
3. Bentonite bath: This type of detox bath requires a little preparation, but will deliver thorough results. The night before your bath you should soak 2-4 pounds of Bentonite clay in a flat container. This will give it time to dissolve overnight. Then all you need to do is add the dissolved clay to your bath and let the detoxification begin!
4. Salt and Baking Soda bath: This bath is designed to counter the negative effects of x-rays, cancer treatments and the atmosphere we live in. All you need to do is add 2 cups of sea salt and 1 cup of baking soda to your bath. Relax in this detoxification bath for 15 minutes to feel the full effects.
So there you have it! Detoxification baths that will leave your body and soul feeling fresh and new.
