Fibromyalgia is one of those mysterious diseases that takes forever to get properly diagnosed. Not only is there prolonged, chronic pain, but the fatigue and sleeplessness is just as bad. It’s not easy to live with.

What’s worse is how the mainstream medical establishment insists that Fibromyalgia is just in your head and there isn’t much they can do for you. If you suffer from Fibromyalgia, you’re probably in the hands of a therapist. After all, the cause of pain is not clear, so doctors conclude that it must all be in your head.

However, you know the pain that comes with Fibromyalgia is very real.  Let’s take a look at some of the causes of this mysterious disease.

Five possible causes of fibromyalgia

1. Candida overgrowth

A small amount of Candida lives in your intestines. It’s a yeast infection when overproduced can break your intestinal wall and enter the bloodstream. This then releases toxic by-products causing pain, fatigue, digestive issues and brain fog.

2. Your adrenal fatigue

Chronic pain and chronic stress causes adrenal fatigue which strains your adrenal glands. However, the initial stressor is usually either vitamin deficiency, Candida, mercury toxicity or food intolerance. So, try to support your adrenals with adaptogenic herbs like Rhodiola, Siberian Ginseng, Aswagandha or Ginkgo biloba.

3. Your thyroid

Have your doctor check all six blood markers so your thyroid gland’s function is accurately measured. Once you get your levels to an ideal range, the depression, fatigue, sleeplessness and bran fog should improve.

4. Vitamin deficiencies

The most common deficiencies among fibromyalgia sufferers are vitamin D, Magnesium and and B12. Speak to your doctor about checking your blood for these vitamin deficiencies and supplement accordingly.

5. Glutathione deficiency

Your body’s detoxification system needs Glutathione. Your body recycles it, unless the toxicity is too high or you lack the enzymes you need to produce and recycle glutathione. Try supplementing with alpha lipoic acid, glutathione or milk thistle to help with fatigue.

Reduce your symptoms with CBD oil

CBD or Cannabidol is a compound found in marijuana. It helps fights feelings of panic, treat depression and paranoia and much more… However, the benefits of CBD don’t stop there. CBD has been studied conditions which are often symptoms of fibromyalgia such as nerve pain, joint pain, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In fact, a 2011 study found that fibromyalgia patients who used CBD saw a greater reduction in pain and symptoms, whereas those who used conventional methods didn’t see much improvement. There are other conventional treatments for fibromyalgia. These include opioid pain medications, corticosteroids and anti-inflammatory medications – all of which have potential health risks.
