FlipSide is the latest lifestyle and eventing brand on the local scene, launching with their first daytime festival at the longstanding and much-loved J&B Met, and also hosting the infamous Met after party! FlipSide Productions, MegaPro and Chattels own the new lifestyle village at the infield at the long-standing J&B Met. The Met is South Africa’s longest standing horse race and attracts the who’s who of the social scene that dress to theme and come ready to bet and, if they’re lucky, win big on the world-class horses racing on the day.
The lifestyle village has always been a major attraction within the many that the Met has to offer, and this year FlipSide is taking it over to bring you a village with a difference at the Racecourse infield.
Artists that will be performing during the day at the festival will include the likes of Anthea Scholtz, Thank Me Later, Chris de Vos from Sexy Groovy Love, Ryan Murgatroyd, Strange Loving, Tomorrows Will and Brett Aitken.
The festival area will feature two fully-stocked bars, a food court area with food trucks to satiate any race-goers appetite, cocktail and lounge areas for relaxing and sipping on something refreshing while people or horse-watching, and of course Tote facilities to ensure you stand a chance to win big if you’re feeling lucky on the day.
The dress code this year honours the long-term Met sponsor, J&B, and is “A Rare Blend”; an opportunity to express individuality and creativity at the country’s biggest social event.
