Most women long for an unblemished, glowing complexion. However, we don’t always get what we long for. At one point or another, we’ve all experienced sun spots, redness and a uneven skin tones.

An uneven skin tone can be very embarrassing as it can make you look tired and unhealthy. What’s more, there’s no quick-fix for it. It actually makes applying make-up to an uneven skin tone difficult!

Today, I want to show you how to even out your skin tone using one of my favourite home-made recipe. I’ve mixed up this baking soda and raw milk concoction for years. And, in all honesty say, it works wonders. It helps treat patchiness and redness really well! Furthermore, it’s great for sensitive skin (like mine) too.

Causes of uneven skin tone

There are a number of factors that can cause a patchy complexion and skin darkening. They include:
Hormonal changes
Ageing
Too much exposure to the sun
Exposure to pollution
Unhealthy habits (like excessive drinking and smoking)
A busy lifestyle
Lack of sleep
High stress levels

While you’ll need medication or cosmetic treatment to take care of extreme skin conditions, you can cure light to moderate skin problems using home remedies like this raw milk and baking soda one I’m about to share.
