What it takes
With one simple flow bin (cost R400 / 30 USD) you can create a 2.4 x 1.2 square metre wetland that will turn 18000 litres of waste into usable & storable water, every month going forward. Sure you will need a cube of gravel and plants to finish the project. You can find plenty of plants from a local dam, and the price of stones cost the same as a single dinner out.
Then with a submersible pump you can now automate this water to irrigate your garden every time you drain your bath. To plumb it all up is as easy as building a 12 year old Lego set.
