Superfood Recipe For A Healthy Liver

The liver is a highly under-appreciated organ, it’s one of the hardest working organs in our bodies, vital to our metabolism and overall health. Keeping your liver healthy is not only crucial for your body to function properly, but could also be the reason why you are not burning fat fast enough or find that your metabolism is sluggish. Give your liver a kick start to it’s busy day with this Superfood recipe:

The liver is the second-largest organ in the body and is the largest gland. It is critically involved in all aspects of metabolism and plays a central role in fat, protein, and carbohydrate processing.
When liver function is impaired, the ability to burn fat properly and thermogenesis are also impaired. Many overweight individuals develop what is known as a fatty liver or nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and as a result show signs of a sluggish liver resulting in a sluggish metabolism.
As you lose weight, it is very important to support liver function. The best way to support the liver is to avoid putting undue stress on it while simultaneously providing the key nutritional building blocks that it needs to function properly.

When the liver becomes dysfunctional, we begin to build up impurities in our blood stream, our sugar metabolism levels are altered, and our hormones which regulate energy levels and mood are affected. If the liver becomes so toxic, or sick to the point where it is completely non-functional, drastic medical measures, like a transplant, are needed.

Superfoods are important to keep your liver healthy, for a guilt-free snack during the day eat Bliss Superfood Balls. Detoxing your liver every once in a while will do you the world of good, use a liver cleanser such as Liver Ally or help your liver by giving it the needed suppliments, such as Barley Grass Powder or Hemp Seed Oil.

So true Cally, people are becoming more and more health conscious every day. ‘Superfoods’ has become a well known term for identifying the food with unusually high content of antioxidants, vitamins or other nutrients. Thank you for your comment.
