Mandalas are beautiful. And if you want to ink yourself to something significant, then you should consider a mandala tattoo. They are not only beautiful but have a deeper spiritual meaning. And this makes them very different from the rest of the designs.

A little bit about Mandalas

Mandala artwork is a large part of Buddhist and Hindu religions. Christianity has made use of mandalas in the form of artwork depicted on the rose windows of churches. Mandalas are designed from the center outwards, which tends to give them a floral appearance. They are circular in nature and can be used to create a tattoo that is symbolic of femininity, eternity and balance.

The mandala’s design is not only meant to be visually appealing , but to also absorb the mind in a way that silences chattering thoughts and allows the you to gain a higher level of awareness. All in all, the best decision when designing a mandala tattoo is to choose colors, symbols and shapes that have a special meaning to you.

Here are 5  beautiful pictures of mandala tattoo designs that I’m thinking of doing. I hope you’ll love them too.

1. A Mandala on the thigh.

This is my favourite because it’s not only for private viewing but fits perfectly on the thigh. And I can choose when I want to show it off.

2. Wrist Mandala tattoo

Who needs a watch when you can ink a mandala. It’s creative and a great fashion accessory.

3. Shoulder Mandala tattoo

This one is too big for my liking but the intrinsic design caught my eye. A smaller version on my upper arm would be just right.

4. Leg Mandala Tattoo

On the few occasions when I do to show some skin, this gorgeous tattoo would look great with a great pair of shoes.

5. Back Mandala tattoo.

I would have this inked on my upper back. I think it screams good taste and style.
