Smoothie recipe for clear, glowing skin
2 cups of water (or more if you prefer thin smoothies)
3 medium bananas, fresh or frozen
1 small orange, peeled and roughly chopped
½ small grapefruit, peeled and roughly chopped (optional, if you like a bitter undertone)
2 tsp of maca powder
Two tsp of chia seeds or hemp seeds (optional)
2 large handfuls of spinach
1 large handful of kale (or extra spinach)
Blend bananas, orange, water, grapefruit, maca and chia seeds on high-speed until smooth. Add spinach and kale. Blend again. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy.
PS: If you don’t have time in the morning, try to prepare this smoothie at night, store it in an airtight container in your fridge and carry it with you the next day. It will make a great on the go breakfast, but you can also have it as a quick snack for that much needed energy boost in the afternoon!
