Have you ever had the feeling that even though there’s nothing to be stressed about, you feel like you’re barely coping or not coping at all? It’s not a good feeling.

And, the scary thing about this feeling is that ignoring it causes other problems such as hair loss and your brain just feels foggy – all the time. You get random panic attacks that even affect your work. Vitamins and more exercise don’t help either. These near-constant anxiety attacks are caused by Adrenal fatigue. And, until you address the root cause, you’ll continue to feel this way.

Signs of adrenal fatigue

  • Too tired to get up in the morning, even when you go sleep early
  • Feeling overwhelmed or rundown
  • Failing to bounce back from stress or illness
  • Craving salty and sweet snacks
  • Very alert and energetic after 6pm

None of the above symptoms are normal especially the last one. If you feel more energetic at night, your adrenals are probably under strain. You could be suffering from adrenal fatigue.

Before you panic, there are two things you can do to restore your adrenal health. Firstly, you have to quit coffee. Each time you drink a cup of coffee, neurons send messages to your pituitary gland alerting your adrenals to pump out adrenaline and cortisol. In other words, caffeine stimulates neuron activity in the brain. So, if you’re drinking several cups of coffee a day, your whole nervous system is probably on constant red alert without you even knowing it. Secondly, replace your morning coffee with a green smoothie that’s loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
